Black Birth and Postpartum Doulas

Meet Your Doulas

Adrienne Downton and Ameenah Johnson founded Mother Me Baby to help create the best birth and postpartum experiences for growing families. The two met as Sister Doulas of Uzazi Village and quickly realized they shared a common philosophy that the best births and postpartum care happen when families are well-informed and well-supported.

Mother Me Baby was formed to offer a team-based model of doula care, which means there’s always a familiar face ready to support you and your partner or birth/postpartum family. Adrienne and Ameenah work tirelessly to provide health equality, evidence-based education, non-judgemental support and self-care support for families that need help to navigate their birth and postpartum journeys.
